We were contracted by the client to excavate a very large basement using an open dig method. There was a large amount of temporary propping required for the site. In order to eliminate the use of traditional propping across the whole basement Trenchco teamed up with our structural engineering team Contractors Design Services Ltd to design inclined piles around the perimeter of the basement. This dramatically freed up the basement space to speed up the construction progress. We also created a top down platform which enabled us to load the trucks inside the site and speed up logistics.
