On this project, a client's private house, there were numerous challenging restrictions. Firstly, dealing with the logistics on a narrow residential road. Secondly, the time restrictions due to the sensitive nature surrounding the site.
Also the client asked us if we could investigate increasing the basement size due to the tree protection area in the rear garden. We developed a scheme with the project's architects and engineers which resulted in the piles on the rear elevation being installed as inclined piles. This resulted in a vast amount of extra space being created at basement level.
